January 21, 2011 TOGETHER FOR LIFE The 38th Annual Memorial Service for the Unborn since the Legalization of Abortion. "Together For Life" is held every year on the anniversary of the infamous Supreme Court decision legalizing abortion on demand in all nine months of pregnancy in the United States. We came together to remember that over 50 million Americans have died in the war on the pre-born, and stand as a respectful appeal to lawmakers to pass protective, pro-life legislation.
Friday, January 21, 2011, was a sunny, but cold morning at the Capitol building in Atlanta, GA. As in previous years, the crowds were slow to show up. But that didn't stop those that were particpating in the service. Men were busy setting up the sound system, stage and banners. There were volunteers waiting to be given their assignments for the day. The cold air seemed to cut through you as the wind blew, but the patches of sun light gave the gift of warmth. The service started out with prayer and then went into praise and worship with the music provided by Doug Stroup. The crowd that gathered this year was drastically smaller, as you will see in the photos. We don't need to stop now. We need to continue this fight to protect the innocent. The guest speakers were Atlanta Archbishop Wilton Gregory, Govenor Elect Nathan Deal, which didn't show up and Keynote Speaker Rebecca Kiessling. We must continue to stand up for the pre-born children. God has given us these children. We should do what we can to protect their precious lives. Here are some pictures of the rally and march. If you would like to get more involved, please contact us. President Ronald Raegan in his 1988 National Day Of Prayer Proclamation, said: Today more than ever, it is essential that these contributions not be taken for granted and that each of us remember that the strength of our families is vital to the strength of our nation. We cannot diminish the value of one category of human life -the unborn- without diminishing the value of all human life....There is no cause more important. Fact: As of June 2003, Since the passage of Roe v. Wade in 1973, more than 43 million children have lost their lives to abortion. That is equivelent to the entire population of 17 midwestern states.
